Paper Doily Shamrock or Clover Tutorial ~ White Cottage St. Patrick's Day Crafts

Hello,
As promised in an earlier post
here is a tutorial for making 4 leaf clover's or shamrocks
using left over heart shaped doily's from Valentine's Day.
Materials Needed:
Heart shaped paper doily's
Lollipop Sticks
Stapler
Glue Gun
Start by folding just the bottom of the doily
in an accordion type manner ...
hard to describe but like this...
Once folded staple the bottom at the fold.
Make 2 or 3 more...
((Yes I didn't know this but apparently there is a difference))
Once you have enough "leaves" made
staple them all together at the bottom.
Then slightly bend the lollipop stick
and attach it to the bottom of the doily
with a bit of hot glue.
I stuffed mine between the folds to hide the glue.
And that's all there is to it :)
So easy and they look pretty in a vase
or you could use them to make a banner
or add to your potted plants or whatever use you can find for them!

A pretty white cottage St. Patrick's Day decoration!!!
I also went out into the field and dug up some
wild clover and planted it in an urn vase
to add to my decorations this year!

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial
and have fun decorating!
love,
Beverly

Antique 1908 Paper Household Journal Autumn Fashions ~ Free Printable ~ Altered Art, Scrap Booking

Hello,
I have been going through my "stash" of old magazines and papers
and I came across this antique magazine from 1908!
The magazine itself is not in the greatest shape
but it is one of those things that I saved ... with plans to use it for something one day!
I am sure everyone has a collection like that!
But I found this great ad inside for Autumn Fashions
and wanted to share it.
You are welcome to use this for altered art projects, scrap booking or whatever idea you have.
Please do not add this to any collections for sale this is for personal use only!
I loved the style of clothing from way back then...
but I could never imagine wearing those tight corsets!
Thanks for looking and Happy Autumn.
Love,
Beverly

Halloween Ornaments Made From Vintage Post Card Images

Hello,
I would like to share with  you these cute ornaments
I made from vintage Halloween post card images.

These are so easy to make and you can follow
my tutorial for my vintage post card image magnets to make these.

The only difference is I added some black lace and a black satin hanger
that I hot glued onto the back of the cards.

The lace that I used was actually white lace that I "dyed"
using black paint diluted with water.
I just dipped the lace into the paint mixture and then hung up to dry.
These are an adorable and inexpensive way to decorate for Halloween.
Here are some links to find some great vintage post card images:
Vintage Holiday Crafts
Silver Collect Blog
Antiques About.com
Scraps Of Time
These are just a few and if you do a google search of
vintage halloween post card images there are a lot more sites that offer free images
to use for your personal use.
Thank you for looking and I hope you enjoyed these!
Hugs,
Beverly
