St. Patrick's Day ~ Clay Pot Leprechaun Hats and Emerald Tree's

Hello,
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
I know I'm a little late with post but
hopefully you can use these ideas for next year!
I wanted to share a few more of my decorations!
A mini clay pot Leprechaun hat!
I simply painted it green, added a band of vintage lace
and a vintage clover shaped rhinestone clip on earring.
And a moss and emerald covered ball made
with table scatter stones from the dollar tree.
These table scatter stones are like huge beads and
they have holes in the center... so I used a touch of
hot glue and a half of toothpick to make mini picks.
Then I covered the Styrofoam ball with moss
and randomly inserted the stones around the ball.
I just put the ball in a little white rocking chair planter
but you could also add a piece of ribbon to hang these.
Than I sat my little hat on top of it
and added a vintage post card image.
I also found these little Easter or Spring tree's
in the Dollar Store and it fit perfectly inside a
vintage milk glass vase I have.
I topped it off with a bit of reindeer moss
and added the table scatter beads onto the wire tree.
The holes in the beads were large enough
that the wire branches fit right through them!
There were also a couple of stones
without holes in the shape of diamonds
so I just scattered them on top of the moss.

An Irish Blessing
May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields and,
Until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Love,
Beverly

Paper Doily Shamrock or Clover Tutorial ~ White Cottage St. Patrick's Day Crafts

Hello,
As promised in an earlier post
here is a tutorial for making 4 leaf clover's or shamrocks
using left over heart shaped doily's from Valentine's Day.
Materials Needed:
Heart shaped paper doily's
Lollipop Sticks
Stapler
Glue Gun
Start by folding just the bottom of the doily
in an accordion type manner ...
hard to describe but like this...
Once folded staple the bottom at the fold.
Make 2 or 3 more...
((Yes I didn't know this but apparently there is a difference))
Once you have enough "leaves" made
staple them all together at the bottom.
Then slightly bend the lollipop stick
and attach it to the bottom of the doily
with a bit of hot glue.
I stuffed mine between the folds to hide the glue.
And that's all there is to it :)
So easy and they look pretty in a vase
or you could use them to make a banner
or add to your potted plants or whatever use you can find for them!

A pretty white cottage St. Patrick's Day decoration!!!
I also went out into the field and dug up some
wild clover and planted it in an urn vase
to add to my decorations this year!

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial
and have fun decorating!
love,
Beverly

Shared this beautiful prayer of St. Patrick
This would be great to make bookmarks for
children, family, friends or to hand out at church!
As I arise today, may the strength of God pilot me,
the power of God uphold me,
the wisdom of God guide me.
May the eye of God look before me,
the ear of God hear me,
the Word of God speak for me.
May the hand of God protect me,
the way of God lie before me,
the shield of God defend me,
the host of God save me.
May Christ shield me today...
Christ with me, Christ before me,
Christ behind me, Christ in me,
Christ beneath me, Christ above me,
Christ on my right, Christ on my left,
Christ when I lie down, Christ when I sit,
Christ when I stand,
Christ in the heart of everyone who thinks of me,
Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks of me,
Christ in every eye that sees me,
Christ in every ear that hears me.
Amen.

Well now I believe I better get busy making some things!
I have a great idea for using left over heart shaped doily's
that I will be sharing soon!
I hope you enjoyed these and I hope everyone
is safe through these terrible tornado's
that have went across the US today!
My thoughts and prayers are with them.
